Infant/Toddler CPR Class
The class offers infant and toddler CPR training and covers home safety and prevention. Our certified CPR instructor and nurse Taima Lopez will guide you through multiple safety topics and will teach CPR techniques.
The goal of this hands-on class is to give you tools you can use in case of emergency and to also to create community. Make a new friend while learning some skills! Lactation Support Class
Our monthly lactation support support class is designed to address common issues like nipple pain, latch, supply, weight gain, nighttime feeding, and so on. This class gives you the chance not only to get the breastfeeding/chest feeding support you need but also to be in community with other nursing parents and share your experience.
The group will be facilitated by a Board Certified Lactation Consultant who will discuss various topics and answer any questions you may have. This class gives you the chance not only to get the support you need, but also to connect with other nursing parents and share your experience. Who is the instructor? Shamina Rao is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Birth Doula, and Prenatal Yoga Instructor. But most importantly, she is a mother of two children, her greatest teachers. Monthly Infant Sleep Class: Establishing Healthy Sleep Habits For Your Baby (0-12 months) .
People think that sleep problems are inevitable when you have kids, but there are absolutely steps that you can take to promote healthy sleep habits in your children. This class is for parents with children 0-12 months old who would like to learn more about infant sleep. You will learn strategies to help your little one get the sleep they need for their growth and development, while establishing sustainable sleep habits for the whole family. Time will be allotted for for Q&A. Who is the instructor? Stephanie Drew, LCSW is a former SSP mom who lives in Westchester with her husband and two sons. She is a psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in trauma, mood disorders, and postpartum mental health, and a certified sleep consultant who works with all ages (infants, children, adolescents, and adults). As a licensed clinical social worker, Stephanie has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in a variety of settings, including hospitals, residential treatment facilities, and community mental health clinics. As a mom, she knows how tough sleep deprivation can be, because she’s been there! She loves giving exhausted parents hope that they WILL sleep again, so that they can show up to be the best they can be for their children. Tiny Tasters: this class is aimed to new and not so new SSP parents (having a second or third baby?) who will learn how to introduce solid foods for their little ones.
