Dr. Erik Aurigemma, MD - FAAP
Dr. Aurigemma was born and raised in New York and has lived in Brooklyn since 2014. Positive experiences coaching sports and mentoring children is part of what drove Dr. Aurigemma to a career in pediatrics. He is dedicated to providing compassionate care and loves empowering young patients to participate in their own health maintenance.
Dr. Aurigemma can be found in his spare time at home with his wife and zoo of animals including 3 dogs and a cat, watching soccer (Dr. Aurigemma is a dedicated Liverpool FC supporter), or at the rugby field with Brooklyn Rugby Club. Dr. Aurigemma received his medical degree from St. George's University and completed his pediatric training at Staten Island University Hospital . His specific interests include sports medicine and pediatric concussion management. He speaks both English and Spanish. |
Dr. Hai Cao, MD - FAAP
Dr. Cao entered medicine with the objective of becoming a small town doctor who makes it his priority to spend time with his patients, and develop trusting relationships with their parents and families. This fantastic Brooklyn neighborhood has been the perfect setting to realize these hopes in Dr Cao's last 20 years of practice as a pediatrician in Park Slope.
Dr. Cao is passionate about tennis (yes, he can play) and fishing (mostly now with his daughter). Dr. Cao received his medical degree at Indiana University and completed his pediatric residency at NY Methodist Hospital-New York Presbyterian Cornell. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the section on Foster Care and Adoption. |
Dr. Kaeya Choksey, MD - FAAP
Dr. Kaeya Choksey grew up in Long Island, NY and went on to receive her medical degree from St George's University School of Medicine. While living in Brooklyn, she completed her clinical rotations and pediatric training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. After residency, she worked at a Pediatric outpatient practice in NJ for two years before joining South Slope Pediatrics. She is bilingual in English and Gujarati.
Pediatrics was the perfect choice for her because she is passionate about creating long term bonds with her patients and their families. She is grateful that every day she is able to play a key role in ensuring a healthy future for her patients. She is excited to be a part of the SSP family and pursue her passion of providing excellent patient care. When she is not caring for her amazing patients and families, she enjoys traveling (she has already been to over 30 countries!), dancing, fitness and spending time with family and friends. |
